Spanish to English Language Services has developed Spanish lessons that are designed with the goal of fluency in mind. We feel, too many Spanish teaching institutions emphasize reading and writing Spanish yet fail to focus on the most important part of speaking the Spanish language; Speaking!

Our Spanish program combines the best of several learning styles to make learning Spanish with Spanish to English, fun and productive. The 90 Days to Basic Spanish Fluency course is taught over three months with a total of 24, one hour Spanish lessons, meeting twice a week. The first month of Spanish lessons are conducted by the Spanish instructor in English to ensure all students get a good grasp on the basic concepts of Spanish, such as basic sentence structure, Spanish vocabulary and present tense conjugations.

Building from this base, the second and third months are taught by the Spanish instructor completely in Spanish. Students are encouraged to practice speaking Spanish by sharing thoughts and ideas during comprehension based exercises that coincide with the Spanish lessons. We have found that this method leads to greater fluency in a shorter period of time.

Most teaching materials are provided by Spanish to English and routine homework is assigned with each Spanish lesson. An outline of the syllabus can be found here. This course is by no means an in depth or complete study of Spanish. With this program however, students of Spanish to English using this basic Spanish course have obtained the ability level to understand approximately a 1/3rd of what native speakers communicate to them. Spanish students have been able to communicate approximately the same in return, expressing basic needs and wants in Spanish sufficient to survive while in a Spanish speaking country.

One-on-One or Individual Spanish and English lessons are a great way for advanced students to obtain that next level of fluency.
